Xiao Yu Art Studio Information

1. Lessons are one hour or two hours. Times are after school on weekdays,

    and all through the weekend.

2. During School holidays and public holidays, there are no lessons.

3. Tuition fee: $20 per hour, payment every term. The payment is not

    refundable. If the student is absent, you must notify Xiao Yu Art Studio, so

    that we can organise you a make – up lesson.

4. Material: Self - purchase, or you can buy it through Xiao Yu Art Studio.

 

Xiao Yu Bai

Xiao Yu Bai lives in Melbourne and has had Bachelor in Design in Academy of Art and Design, Tsinghua University and Advanced studies (Traditional Chinese painting) in Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, China; also she has had Bachelor of Fine Art at Monash University, Masters and Doctors of Fine Arts at RMIT in Australia. Xiao Yu Bai has had over 40 solo and group exhibitions and won Siemens – RMIT Fine Art scholarship Awards, Siemens Acquisition Prize, and RMIT Master of Fine Arts students Graduate Exhibition Prize. She was a finalist in Arthur Guy Memorial Award, Geelong contemporary art paize, Eutick Memorial Still Life Award, Fleurieu Peninsula Water Prize, Albany Art Prize , Redland Art Awards and the A.M.E. BALE Art Prize. Her works were collected by Redland Gallery, MARS Melbourne Art Rooms, the Landcom, Siemens and private.

Xiao Yu Bai has over 20 years of experience in the fields of teaching and art. She has had many years of teaching experience in university in China. In China, she has received national and state excellence awards in teaching. In Australia, she has continued teaching art for children, young people and adults for over 20 years. She is currently working for Xiao Yu Art Studio, whilst also researching art and creating new artworks.

 

Zai Kuang

Zai Kuang lives in Melbourne and has had Bachelor and Masters in Fine Art in Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University in China; he also has had Masters (by research) at Monash University in Australia. Zai Kuang has had 14 solo exhibitions and more than 40 group exhibitions. In Australian, he won  “He Who Dreams Art Prize,” First Prize in “St. Kevin’s Art Show”, Second Prize in “Mentone Art Competition”, and Highly Commend Prize in “The City of Albany Art Prize” and “Willoughby City Art Prize”, and he was a finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Archibald Prize, the Sulman Prize, Fleurieu Bienale Art Prize, the Albany Art Prize, Redland Art Awards, Willoughby Art Prize, R & M McGiven Art Prize, Lexus Mortimore Priz and the A.M.E. BALE Art Prize. In China, he was a finalist in the National Young Artist Exhibition, the 8th National art Exhibition, the second National Still life exhibition and the National Sport Exhibition. He has a number of works in public collections including BHP Billiton, Monash University, Macquarie University, and private collections worldwide.

Zai Kuang has had many years of teaching experience in university in China. In Australia, he has continued teaching children, young people and adults. Currently, he is a teacher at Xiao Yu Art Studio. In the fields of teaching and art, he has over 20 years of experience.
